📺 My Stock Board

Pin the stocks you follow — US stocks and indices, plus Korean names like Samsung Electronics and SK hynix — and see prices, changes and mini charts on one screen. Full-screen TV mode; your list stays on this device. Prices may be delayed. Not investment advice.

Loading Data: Yahoo Finance (via our server, may be delayed)

Prices come from Yahoo Finance via our server, from a cache shared by all visitors (5-minute bars for the day, cached about a minute on the server). This page fetches each stock about once a minute (about every 5 minutes when its market is closed), spacing requests out, and only while the page is visible. Day change compares with the previous trading day's close; the day range is today's low to high (the last session's when the market is closed). Depending on the exchange, prices can be 15–20 minutes late or more (Korean stocks about 20 minutes); each card shows the time its price is as of. Regular-session prices only — no pre-market or after-hours. "Since last visit" compares with the price this browser saw on your previous visit. Your list is stored only in this browser's localStorage (key xc:stockboard:list) and never sent to a server.

Shortcuts: F = TV mode, / = search, Esc = close. Reorder by dragging the ⠿ handle at a card's top left, or focus it and use the arrow keys.

What this tool does

Pick the stocks you follow and see US stocks and indices alongside Korean names like Samsung Electronics and SK hynix on one screen. Each card shows the last price (in dollars or won, matching the currency), the change versus the previous close in percent and amount, an open/closed badge, a bar placing the price within the day's low–high range, a mini chart of today's 5-minute bars, volume, and the time the price is as of — plus an optional KRW conversion for dollar stocks and the change since your last visit. TV mode fills the whole screen with a large-type grid, handy on a second monitor or a TV. You start with eight: S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Tesla, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. The list stays on this device.

How it is calculated

Prices come from Yahoo Finance via this site's server, from a cache shared by every visitor (browsers cannot call stock data sources directly, so the server relays them). One request per stock — today's 5-minute bars — fills the whole card: price, previous trading day's close, day high and low, volume, whether the regular session is open, and the quote time. The server caches each stock for about a minute, so however many people watch the same stock, Yahoo is asked at most once a minute. Every 15 seconds this page picks only the stocks that are due and fetches them one at a time, 0.4 seconds apart: about once a minute while a market is open and about every 5 minutes when it is closed. It stops while the tab is hidden and resumes when you come back. Day change = last price ÷ previous close − 1; bar position = (price − day low) ÷ (day high − day low). The mini chart joins today's 5-minute closes (the last session's when closed); the dotted line is the previous close. Depending on the exchange, quotes are 15–20 minutes late or more (Korean stocks about 20 minutes): while a market is open each card shows the quote time and how late it is, and when closed, which day's close it is. Regular-session prices only — no pre-market or after-hours. The KRW conversion multiplies by USD/KRW (KRW=X), refreshed every 5 minutes, as a reference. Your list is saved in localStorage under xc:stockboard:list as an array of symbols (e.g. ["^GSPC","AAPL","005930.KS"]); settings under xc:stockboard:cfg and last-visit prices under xc:stockboard:seen.

How to read each part of the screen

Top bar: add, sort, KRW, TV mode

Clicking the search box opens a list of Korean and US large caps and indices; search by Korean, English or Japanese name, ticker or 6-digit code. 'Manual' sort keeps the order you dragged, 'Day change' puts the biggest first, and 'By market' groups Korea → US → others. Dragging a card while sorted makes the visible order your manual order. On the right is the time of the last update.

Card: price, day change, day range

The large number is the last price; it flashes in the up or down colour when a new value comes in. On the right are the change versus the previous close in percent and amount. The bar runs from the day low (left) to the day high (right); the white tick marks the price. Below are volume (not for indices) and, if there is a previous visit, the change since then.

Open/closed badge and as-of time

The badge next to the name says whether that exchange's regular session is open now. The bottom line shows the last quote time and how many minutes late it is while open, or which day's close it is when closed. It turns orange when the quote is more than 10 minutes late or when the server is showing a saved value because the source isn't responding.

Mini chart

A line through today's 5-minute closes (the last session's when the market is closed); the dotted line is the previous close. It is drawn in the up colour when the price is above the previous close and in the down colour when below. Korean pages use red for up and blue for down; English and Japanese pages use green for up and red for down.

TV mode

Large numbers on black: price, day change, KRW (when on), mini chart, day-range bar and as-of time for each stock, with the date and a seconds clock at the top. It splits stocks into pages so tiles don't get too small, and with auto page on it turns every 12 seconds. Where supported it keeps the screen awake, and it hides the cursor after 3 seconds without mouse movement.

Things to know

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices real-time?

No. They come from Yahoo Finance via our server, cached for about a minute, and exchanges already delay them 15–20 minutes or more (Korean stocks about 20 minutes). The as-of time at the bottom of each card tells you when the price is from. If the source stops responding, the board shows the value the server still has and says so.

Where is my list stored?

Only in this browser's storage (localStorage, key xc:stockboard:list); it is never sent to a server. To use it on another device, save a file with 'Export list' (stock_board.json) and load it there with 'Import list'. Plain text files with symbols separated by commas or new lines work too.

What does 'since last visit' compare with?

The last price this browser saved while you had the page open last time (saved every minute and when you hide or close the tab). It counts as a new visit only after you have been away for more than 30 minutes. Stocks added since your last visit have no reference price, so nothing is shown for them.

Doesn't a long list put load on the server?

Each stock is fetched about once a minute while its market is open and about every 5 minutes when it is closed, one request at a time with a gap in between. The server answers from a cache shared by all visitors, and nothing is fetched while the tab is hidden.

The stock I want isn't in the search list.

The list covers popular Korean, US and Japanese large caps and ETFs, plus indices, FX and commodities. For anything else type the ticker or 6-digit code and press Enter. If a quote comes back the stock is added; if not, you'll see that it wasn't found.

It says Closed — why doesn't the price move?

After-hours prices are not covered. A closed stock shows its last session's close and starts moving again when the next regular session opens.
